Prairie School Kitchen FKA Renovation Featured in Old House Journal
This large Montclair home was designed by the architect George W. Maher, a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright, in 1904. Maher was part of the Prairie School Style, which blended traditional architecture with then-contemporary Arts and Crafts detail. In order to renovate the kitchen and pantry areas, we uncovered and restored the original interior, which included custom wood paneling designed by Tiffany studios. We added additional paneling and design features to match the original.
